Incomplete Applications

Applications that borrowers have saved but haven’t finished or submitted are listed on the Incomplete Applications page. You can preview these applications if they are assigned to you or if you are a Encompass Consumer Connect administrator. You can also convert them into a loan by submitting them to Encompass.

Even though an application is incomplete, there may be enough information captured so you can follow up with potential borrowers and encourage them to complete the application. Applicants can pick up where they left off at anytime by logging back into your website.

If the applicant has filled out all RESPA Six fields in the application, you can move the application to Encompass and start preparing initial disclosure documents. The total number of RESPA Six fields the applicant has filled out is displayed in the RESPA Six box as shown below.

Previewing an incomplete application lets you see the fields the applicant has completed. You cannot edit or make changes while previewing an application. You can make changes to the loan application after it is submitted to Encompass.

To Find and Preview an Incomplete Application

  1. In Encompass Consumer Connect administration portal, go to Incomplete Apps.
  2. If you have more than one site, select the site from the drop-down list that contains the incomplete applications you want to view.
  3. In the Search box, enter a name that is associated with the application. The name can be a first or last name of the borrower, co-borrower or loan officer.
  4. You can sort the results according to RESPA6 status, loan officer name or last saved by clicking Sort By: and making a selection.

  5. Locate the application, then click Preview.

Follow these steps to convert an incomplete application into a loan in Encompass.

To Convert an Incomplete Application

  1. In Encompass Consumer Connect administration portal, go to Incomplete Apps.
  2. Locate the application to import.
    Note: To locate the application, you can enter a name that is associated with the application in the Search box. The name can be a first or last name of the borrower, co-borrower or loan officer.
  3. Click Submit Loan.
  4. Confirm that you want to convert the application to a loan.
    The new loan is saved to your folder in Encompass. The incomplete application is removed from the Incomplete Apps page in Encompass Consumer Connect administration portal.

ClosedFind and Manage All Incomplete Apps on the Consumer Connect Site

Encompass Consumer Connect administrators can view all incomplete applications for the site ID and organization. Sort options include:
  • Apps in Progress - Displays all incomplete applications started on the site and includes the name of the loan officer who is assigned to the loan. Administrators can preview and convert an application into a loan in Encompass. When submitted to Encompass, the loan is saved in the loan officer's Encompass folder.
  • Apps with Errors - Displays all applications that failed to submit to Encompass from the site. Administrators can view error messages associated with the application or with the submittal, and resubmit to Encompass.
