Encompass TPO Connect Administration Updates - 23.3 Major Release
This section discusses the updates and enhancements to existing forms, features, or services that are provided in this release.
Feature Enhancements
A new Display Account Executive From Sales Rep Role Within Loan File Contacts (Optional) setting has been added under Additional Settings. When enabled by channel, the Account Executive contact information will be populated from the Sales Rep role within the loan’s file contacts (instead of from the Primary Sales Rep of the company). By default, this setting will be disabled.
If this setting is enabled and the Loan Officer/Loan Processor is changed in the Encompass TPO Connect (TPO Connect) Key Loan Contacts modal, the Account Executive contact information will automatically revert back to the Primary Sales Rep of the company.
As part of this release, the TPO Connect zip code database and county table will be updated to maintain consistency between ICE Mortgage Technology products (e.g., Encompass, Encompass Product & Pricing Service, Encompass TPO Connect, etc.).
A new Custom Full Page option has been added to the Dashboard Widgets tab under the Pages & Links setting. When enabled, the entire Welcome page will be replaced with a full size SSF page. By default, this setting will be disabled.
To Configure the Welcome Page:

Log into your Encompass TPO Connect Administration page.
-
Select the Edit link corresponding to the TPO site you want to configure.
-
Select Pages & Links in the left menu.

-
To keep the Welcome page, leave the Custom Full Page check box blank.
-
Select Save.
The top navigation/left navigation sublink on the Navigation Menu Settings has been updated as follows:
-
For the Main Menu - Top Navigation:
-
When Custom Page is selected as a sublink for a Custom Page link, the Destination column is now hidden.
-
When Custom Page is selected as a sublink for an External Page link, both the Destination and Open In A New Tab columns are now hidden.
-
For the Loan Level - Left Navigation:
-
When Custom Page is selected as a sublink for an External Page link, the Destination column is now hidden.
A new Open in a new tab check box has been added to the top navigation External Page link on the Navigation Menu Settings. When enabled, the top navigation external link will open in a new tab when selected by a user.
When the Navigation Menu Settings is enabled, the left navigation menus links are highlighted as follows:
-
When a new loan is added in URLA 2020 or 2009 and a user lands on the Additional Information sublink, the URLA link will be collapsed but highlighted.
-
If the URLA link is hidden, and a user lands on the first page link in the left navigation menu, that link will be highlighted.
-
When a user opens an existing loan, the Loan Summary link will be highlighted. If the Loan Summary page is hidden, the link of the page the user lands upon will be highlighted.
-
If the first item in the left navigation menu is a container, that container will be expanded, and the first page link within the container will be highlighted.

The Batch Document Upload setting has been updated. The changes made to the setting are as follows:
-
The default left navigation link and page name has been renamed from “Batch Document Upload” to “Batch Upload”.
-
The Enable document upload pipeline views check box has been renamed to “Enable Batch Upload views”.
-
The Add View and Edit View modals have been updated as follows:
-
An Import additional data check box has been added. When selected, a new Import Additional Data section will be displayed on your TPO site. Otherwise, the section will not be displayed.
Persona Access to Loan (PAL) business rules can be applied to this section. For example, the setting can be enabled but a PAL rule could hide the section or make it read-only.
-
The Document upload locations option has been renamed to “Document upload” and changed to a check box. When selected, the Document Upload section will be displayed on your TPO site. Otherwise, the section will not be displayed.
Persona Access to Loan (PAL) business rules can be applied to this section. For example, the setting can be enabled but a PAL rule could hide the section or make it read-only.
-
The Enable loan action button check box has been moved to the bottom of the modal and a User message field has been added when the check box is selected.
As part of the Encompass Product & Pricing Service (EPPS) 23.3 major release, a new DTI setting has been added. This setting determines whether an EPPS calculated DTI or an Encompass calculated DTI will be used. TPO Connect will honor the DTI calculation selected in EPPS.
-
EPPS calculated DTI - Uses various Encompass fields to determine the value. (Existing calculation)
-
Encompass calculated DTI - Uses Encompass Total Monthly Income (field ID 1389) to determine income and the difference between the Total of all Monthly Payments (field ID 1742) and the Proposed/Estimated First Mortgage Monthly Payment (field ID 228) for debt. (New calculation)
Fixed Issues
Why we fixed these issues: The following issues were fixed to improve usability and to help ensure Encompass TPO Connect is operating as expected.
This section describes the issues that have been fixed in this release.
An issue occurred where Encompass Loan Action Completion (LAC) business rules that included lock request fields (e.g., field ID 2866) were triggered twice and error messages were displayed.
-
When the LAC rule was initially triggered, if the existing lock request field value violated the rule, the Fail message provided for the rule was displayed.
-
When the LAC rule was triggered the second time, if the existing lock request field value passed the rule but the requested lock request field value violated the rule, an internal server error was displayed,
This issue has been resolved and as long as the loan action is a form of lock request (new lock, relock, or reprice), the business rule is triggered for the requested lock request field value rather than the existing lock request field value.
An issue occurred where Encompass Persona Access to Loans (PAL) business rules that restricted user access to only unassigned loan files in the eFolder were not honored by Encompass TPO Connect (TPO Connect). Despite the PAL rules, users could:
-
browse all documents and append attachments (except for protected documents)
-
remove/delete assets after a loan was submitted
This issue has been resolved and PAL rules are now honored by TPO Connect.
An issue occurred where Configurable Workflow Templates were not displayed when either the Custom Loan Navigation option was selected on the Loan Navigation tab under Pages & Links setting or the Navigation Menu Settings was enabled. This issue has been resolved and Configurable Workflow Templates are now displayed when either the option is selected or the settings is enabled.
An issue occurred where the TPO Contacts link at the top of the page was not displayed for a user impersonating a broker when the Enable New Navigation Menu Settings option under Navigation Menu Settings was selected and then that user logged into TPO Connect. This issue has been resolved and the TPO Contacts link is now displayed for a user impersonating a broker when the option is selected.
