Rebuild Field Search Data

Use the Rebuild Field Search Data tool to synchronize the field IDs in Encompass with the applicable field ID data in the Encompass database that the Analysis Tools relies on to locate the field IDs used in business rules and other system configurations. Click the Rebuild Data button here to scan through all business rules and the Encompass system configuration and index the Encompass field IDs associated with these business rules and system configuration. If fields/field IDs get added, deleted, or changed from outside of the Encompass system (i.e., they are not located in the Encompass database), use the Rebuild Field Search Data tool to synchronize the field IDs. Without rebuilding this data, the Analysis Tools may not work correctly since its search is based on the field IDs in the Encompass database.

 Starting in Encompass 15.1.4.0, the Rebuild Field Search Data tool is available only for clients who can access the Analysis Tools. Additionally, only administrators in these companies who log in to Encompass using the admin user ID or are assigned with the Administrator or Super Administrator persona have access to the Rebuild Field Search Data tool.

To Rebuild Field Search Data:

  1. On the menu bar, click Encompass, and then click Settings.

  2. On the left panel, click System Administration, and then click Rebuild Field Search Data.

  3. Click the Rebuild Data button.

  4. A confirmation that the data has been rebuilt displays upon the completion of the rebuild. Click OK.
