Fixed Issues for Version 18.2.0.9
This Encompass 18.2 June Service Pack Critical Patch 1 includes updates to users' Encompass client machines.
Why we fixed this issue: This issue was fixed to improve usability and to help ensure Encompass is operating as expected. The issue chosen to be fixed was based on its severity and its impact to clients and client feedback.
The Encompass 18.2 June Service Pack Critical Patch 1 includes the following item, which is a client-side update that is applied to users' Encompass client machines. This client update can be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool. If the tool has been configured to always apply new releases to users’ computers automatically, users will receive this update upon their initial log in of Encompass following the release.
An issue was introduced in the Encompass 18.2 June Service Pack (18.2.0.8 Server Patch 5) release that impacted clients who utilize the Encompass Software Development Kit (SDK). After upgrading to 18.2.0.8 Server Patch 5, clients reported that they then began to receive Method not found... Exception errors when they attempted to perform certain tasks via the Encompass SDK. For example, when they attempted to submit or confirm a rate lock request via the Encompass SDK, they received a Method not found LockRateRequest error and the action was not performed. The cause of this issue was identified and it has been resolved with this 18.2.0.9 update.
Although this update was released to all Encompass clients, the impacted areas (Encompass SDK, customized rate lock requests) are available for use in Encompass Banker Edition only, not Encompass Broker Edition.
