This topic provides information on how to use the History (for the package) page.
The package activity history lets you view all actions taken for a package. Actions can include when documents were added to the package, whether the package has been received by the recording county (or jurisdiction), when the package was created, viewed, signed, and notarized. This can give you more information about where your package is in the eRecording process.
In addition to the action or event, the page can display when the action took place and who completed the action, and give details about the action.
You can view the package history in a card view. On this view, the events display in chronological order and are color coded by event type.

Method 1 ‑ From the Packages navigation item
- In the navigation menu, select Packages. The Packages page opens in the right panel.
- Select the package for which you want to view the history. The Package Details page opens in the right panel and the and the navigation menu displays the package related items.
- In the navigation menu, select History. The History (for the package) page opens in the right panel.
Method 2 ‑ From the Search navigation item
- In the navigation menu, select the Search item. The Search (for the package) page opens in the right panel.
- In the Search (for the package) page, enter information about the package for which you want to view its history and select the Search button. The Search Results window opens.
- In the Search Results window, in the wanted package row, select the tag in the Package Status column. The History (for the package) page opens in the right panel.

- Select the package for which you want to view the history. The Package Details page opens in the right panel and the and the navigation menu displays the package related items.

Method 2 ‑ From the Search navigation item
- In the navigation menu, select the Search item. The Search (for the package) page opens in the right panel.
- In the Search (for the package) page, enter information about the package for which you want to view its history and select the Search button. The Search Results window opens.
- In the Search Results window, in the wanted package row, select the tag in the Package Status column. The History (for the package) page opens in the right panel.

- Open the History (for the package) page.
- If necessary, use the dropdown list in the upper‑right corner to change the organization whose history you want to view.
- To choose a date range for the items that display, do one of the following :
- Choose a predetermined date range from the Date Range dropdown list.
- Enter start and end dates in the Start Date and End Date fields.
- Select the calendar icons to choose start and end dates.
- To use additional filters, select the funnel icon (). When the options bar displays, do any or all of the following:
- In the Event dropdown list, mark the types of events you want to display.
- In the User dropdown list, mark the names of the users who actions you want to display.
- In the Details field, enter text you want Simplifile to search for in the event Details column.
