Simplifile Utilities

Overview

This topic provides information on how to use the Simplifile Utilities.

IMPORTANT: The Simplifile utilities modules cannot be used until after the Simplifile_Utilities.exe file is download and installed and one or more of the Simplifile utilities modules are installed.

NOTE: When the Simplifile Utilities are installed on the computer, the Simplifile logo (Simplifile icon button) is displayed in the computer's taskbar "show hidden icons".

Simplifile Utilities is a lightweight tool that is installed directly on your computer and that allows us to provide functionality within Simplifile that is not otherwise available from a standard web browser. Simplifile Utilities requires a one‑time installation of the Simplifile Utilities tool and any optional modules.

Simplifile Utilities is supported on the following Windows browsers:

  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer® version 11 and higher
  • Google Chrome™ (recent versions)
  • Mozilla® Firefox® (recent versions)

The following modules can be added to Simplifile Utilities at any time.

  • Scan to Simplifile

  • Package Download and Print (Enhanced)

When the Simplifile Utilities modules are installed on the computer, additional functionality options may be available on several of the Simplifile application pages.

Simplifile Utility modules

Scan to Simplifile module

The Scan to Simplifile utility module allows users to send documents directly from their scanner to a Simplifile package without having to scan to a file on their desktop, and then upload the file to the package. It works with most TWAIN‑compatible scanners.

Package Download and Print module

The Package Download and Print utility module provides the ability to download/print all the docs in a package to individual files in a location of their choosing, rather than how the browsers make you do it now ‑ as a single ZIP file in the default downloads folder.
