Fixed Issues for Version 23.1.0.4 Server Patch 2 (Broker Edition)

This section describes the issues that have been fixed in this release.

Why we fixed this issue: This issue was fixed to improve usability and to help ensure Encompass is operating as expected. This issue was chosen to be fixed based on the severity of its impact to clients and client feedback.

Update to the Encompass Server (i.e., Server Patch 2)

Below are updates in the Server Patch (server patch 2) that are applied to the Encompass Server. The Server Patch contains the relevant Encompass code that applies to the following fixed issues. The Server Patch included with this release will be applied to the Encompass Server automatically and cannot be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool.

Some customers experienced an issue where certain field values in their Encompass Reporting Database were missing. When a loan file was moved to a different loan folder, then certain loan values in the Reporting Database were removed. This issue impacted only Reporting Database tables that contained the 'LOANLASTMODIFIED' (Loan Last Modified Date) and 'LOANFOLDER' (Loan Folder Name) fields. When those fields were included in the table, the values in the other fields in the table were removed. The cause of this issue was identified and it has been addressed. Once this Encompass 23.1.0.4 Server Patch 2 upgrade is applied, this issue will no longer occur when moving loans from one folder to another.

To address Reporting Database fields that were impacted by this issue prior to 23.1.0.4 Server Patch 2, ICE Mortgage Technology will restore the data on Saturday, March 25. Please refer to the Status Center for information on when this restoration is complete.

Updates to the Encompass Client Machines

The Encompass 23.1 March Service Pack release includes the following item, which is a client-side update that are applied to users' Encompass client machines (23.1.0.4). This client update can be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool. If the tool has been configured to always apply new releases to users’ computers automatically, users will receive this update upon their initial log in of Encompass following the release.

The following issues have been resolved when using the Tab key to move from one field to another on the Quick Entry - VOE pop-up window:

  • Tabbing from the Date Hired field (field ID BE0151) now correctly takes the user to the Date Terminated field (field ID BE0114). Previously, tabbing from the Date Hired field would incorrectly take the user to the Seasonal Income check box (field ID BE0176).

  • Tabbing from the year field (field ID BE0116) for the Years in Line of Work now takes the user to the month field (field ID BE0152) for the Years in Line of Work. Previously, tabbing from the Year field would incorrectly take the user to the Base pay field (field ID BE0119).

The Quick Entry - VOE pop-up window is accessed by clicking the Show all VOE button on input forms such as the 1003 URLA Part 2.

Workaround Information:

The following workaround was provided for this production issue and is no longer required for Encompass 23.1.0.3 and later.

  • Instead of tabbing out of the affected fields, use the mouse to click the next field.

An issue was resolved that affected loans linked via the Piggyback Loans Tool. When the Down Payment % (field ID 1771) on a loan was not a whole number, the Loan Amount (field ID 1109) would be off by $1 on the linked loan. This issue has been resolved the Loan Amount now displays correctly on the linked loan.

When using the Manage Views window to manage custom Pipeline views, an issue occurred for users where the Pipeline views listed in the window were listed alphabetically at all times instead of in the order in which users had created the views or in the order configured by the administrator (in the Encompass Settings > Personas > Access tab > Pipeline Views). This issue has been resolved and the Pipeline views are now listed in the order in which they were created (most recent listed first) or according to the order set by the administrator.
