Updates and Enhancements in Version 23.1.0.4 (Broker Edition)

Updates have been made to support the revised VA 26-6393 Loan Analysis form required for VA loans with application dates on or after April 1, 2023, as announced by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Circular 26-23-4. The following changes have been implemented on sections C through F on the input form to match the revised VA form:

• The line numbering has been removed from line 20 and the line numbering for the remainder of the form has been updated.

• In Section E, new lines have been added:

  • Lines 45a-49 are existing Encompass fields that have been added to the revised form.

  • Line 52 is a new field for Underwriting VA Number (field ID VASUMM.X154).

• In Section F, the line numbering has been removed. The entries in this section now have text-only labels.

The line numbers for Section F have been removed.

Updates have been made to support the revised VA Certificate of Eligibility form required for VA loans with application dates on or after April 1, 2023, as announced by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Circular 26-23-2. The following changes have been implemented on the input form.

Two existing Encompass fields are being added to the Military Service Data section:

• A Pre-Discharge Claim Pending? check box (field ID VAELIG.X115) has been added at the top of the section.

• An Indicate How You Will Use Your Certificate of Eligibility? drop-down list has been added at the bottom of the section with the following options:

  • Entitlement Inquiry Only

  • Purchase a Home

  • Cash-Out Refinance

  • Interest Rate Reduction Refinance Loan.

In the Previous VA Loans section, two new fields have been added to each of the six sections used to record previous VA loans:

• A free entry field for the Loan Number (field IDs VAELIG.X117, VAELIG.X119, VAELIG.X121, VAELIG.X123, VAELIG.X125, and VAELIG.X127)

• An Are You Applying for Entitlement Restoration? drop-down list (field IDs VAELIG.X118, VAELIG.X120, VAELIG.X122, VAELIG.X124, VAELIG.X126, and VAELIG.X128) with the following options:

  • No, Entitlement Inquiry Only

  • Cash-Out Refinance Restoration

  • Interest Rate Reduction Refinance

  • One-Time Restoration

At the bottom of the Previous VA Loans section, new entries have been added to record ownership of a VA financed property that was damaged or destroyed. This section includes the following new fields:

• Still Own a Property That Was Financed with a VA Home Loan that Has Been Substantially Damaged or Destroyed by a Federally Declared Natural Disaster? drop-down list (field ID VAELIG.X129) with Yes and No options.

• Date of Loan (Month and Year) (field ID VAELIG.X130)

• Date of Loss (Month and Year) (field ID VAELIG.X131)

• Property Street Address (field ID VAELIG.X132)

• Property City (field ID VAELIG.X133)

• Property State (field ID VAELIG.X134)

• Property Zip (field ID VAELIG.X135)

• Remarks (if any) (field ID VAELIG.X136) - A free-entry text field for entering comments about the property.

Updates have been made to support the revised the VA 26-1820 Report and Certification of Loan Disbursement form required for VA loans with application dates on or after April 1, 2023, as announced by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in Circular 26-23-03. Changes have been implemented in Section I, Section II, and Section III on the input form as described below.

Section I

On line 7, different versions of the Purpose of Loan drop-down list now display dynamically based on the application date (field ID 745):

• When the application date is on or after 4/1/2023, the drop-down list for field ID VASUMM.X155 displays.

• When the application date is prior to 4/1/2023, the drop-down list for field ID 28 displays.

Line 9. Amount of Loan has been removed. The remainder of Section I has been updated to match the revised VA form. This includes the insertion of multiple existing Encompass fields and the revision of the line numbering for the from, starting with line 9 and continuing to the end of the form.

A new check box (field ID VASUMM.X158) and two existing Encompass check boxes (field ID VASUMM.X156 and VASUMM.X157) now display at the bottom of the form to indicate the borrower’s active duty status. Lenders can select one or more check boxes as applicable.
