Export Fannie Mae Formatted File (3.2)

Use the Export Fannie Mae Formatted File (3.2) option to download loan files in Fannie Mae (FNMA) 3.2 format from the Pipeline to your computer.

You need persona access to Export Fannie Mae Formatted File (3.2) (configured in Encompass) to be able to export your loan files in FNMA 3.2 format. Encompass administrators and other authorized users can grant users access to Export Fannie Mae Formatted File (3.2).

You can export one loan at a time. Ensure that you have saved your changes to the loan before you start exporting. You do not need to close the loan for the Fannie Mae 3.2 export.

The Fannie Mae 3.2 export file contains loan origination data from a 1003 mortgage application form, which includes the type of loan, length of the loan, amount of the loan, applicant name, property address, interest rate, monthly income, and contact information. This file format is an industry standard and hence can be used for a variety of business transactions, loan underwriting, credit submission purposes, and allows for easy transmission and flow of data across different organizations/companies.

To Export A Loan in FNMA 3.2 Format:

  1. Go to your Pipeline.

  2. Click the loan you want to export, and from the Pipeline menu, point to GSE Services, and then click Export Fannie Mae Formatted File (3.2), OR,

    Right-click the loan you want to export, point to GSE Services, and then click Export Fannie Mae Formatted File (3.2).

  3. In the Export window, click the Search icon.

    • In the Browse for Folder window, navigate to the location on your computer where you want to save the exported file.
    • Click OK.
  4. Back in the Export window, type the name of the file, and click OK.

  5. If the exported loan contains missing information, an Incomplete Loan Application window displays, listing the field IDs and descriptions of the missing fields.

    • Click the Print button for a print-out of this information. You can use the print-out as reference when you complete the loan data.
    • Click Cancel to discontinue the export. You can use this to return to the loan file to update information in the missing fields.
    • Click Continue to proceed exporting the loan with the missing information.
  6. On the confirmation window, click OK.
