Feature Enhancements in Version 21.4 Major Release
This section discusses the updates and enhancements to existing features, services, or settings that are provided in this release.
Borrower Lookup
A new option has been added to Borrower Lookup permission settings. The new Enable Loan Officers to View All Borrowers option allows lender administrators to control whether loan officers can see all borrowers or only borrowers associated with their loans.
This option by is enabled by default. Lender administrators can disable it to limit search results for loan officers. When disabled, loan officers can only view their assigned loans and cannot view loans assigned to other loan officers. To learn how to manage Borrower Lookup settings for loan officers, see Borrower Lookup and Account Management on page 1.

Website Builder
A new configuration option has been added to the Company Site > Design page that gives lenders the ability to indicate whether the company logo on the site should be linked to a URL.
By default, a company logo is linked to the home page. A lender administrator can assign a different URL to the logo, or with this new option, can choose not to use any logo URL.

Borrower Widgets
Borrower widgets are added to your site using a code snippet that is generated in the administration portal. With this release, an update has been made to the code snippet to allow lender administrators to configure borrower widgets to open in an external window. This update also resolves an issue with opening borrower widgets on Safari browsers (described in 21.4 Fixed Issues).
The new externalLoginWindow attribute for the data-config parameter attribute has been added to both the loan application and borrower portal code snippets. When the externalLoginWindow attribute is set to true, the borrower widget opens in an external login window, allowing borrowers access to the login page without having to change any of their browser settings. This attribute is supported on the following browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
Action required: To take advantage of the new externalLoginWindow attribute after 21.4 is released in December 2021, lender administrators with pre-existing borrower widgets must replace the code snippet on all applicable website pages. To learn how to replace a code snippet, see Replace Your Code Snippets below. If you want to continue with your existing flow and do not want your widgets to open in an external login window, no action is required, but please note that some borrowers may experience an error when attempting to open a borrower widget from a Safari browser.
Replace Your Code Snippets
To utilize the new externalLoginWindow attribute, the code snippet for each borrower widget must be regenerated and replaced.

Loan Template Rules
A new tooltip has been added to the Loan Template Rules page that provides general information and instructional text.
The tooltip states the following:
"When data in a loan application meets the conditions in a loan template rule, the loan template set associated with the rule is applied to the loan application.
Use the New Rule button to add rules to the list. You can use the up and down arrows to reorder the list.
The order in which loan template rules are listed here is important. The system applies the first loan template rule it finds in this list whose conditions are met by the data in the loan application.
It is recommended that rules with numerous conditions be placed near the top of this list. This helps ensure that loan template rules intended to very specific scenarios are applied as intended."

Loan Application
The following three fields have been removed from the Present Monthly Housing Expenses area of the loan application: First Mortgage (P&I), Second Mortgage (P&I), Real Estate taxes. These fields will persist in any existing draft applications, but the data for First Mortgage (P&I) and Real Estate taxes will not be saved in Encompass when the loan is submitted.
In addition, the instructional text has been updated to state the following, "Please add any primary residency housing related monthly expenses."
