Feature Enhancements

This section discusses the updates and enhancements to existing forms, features, services, or settings that are provided in this release.

Introducing New Release Notes and Online Help

With this release we are introducing a new look and user experience for release notes and online Help. We’ve made the new design easier to navigate and more user-friendly. Plus, we’ve added many feature upgrades that you have suggested, including:

  • New colors and styling aligned with Ellie Mae branding
  • Wider layout that allows for larger screen examples
  • Improved organization and grouping of menus and side navigation links
  • Easy to consume “at a glance” views of release notes items
  • And more…

While the look and feel of the release notes and the Help is different, the overall process you should follow to locate and read the release notes and find Help topics will not change. We look forward to your feedback about your experience with the new release notes and online Help.

TQL Services Settings

The TQL Investor Setup panel of the TQL Services setting now includes the following text to indicate that Investor configuration is now supported in Encompass Investor Connect only:

Investor setup for TQL Services is no longer supported in this setting and has been moved to Encompass Investor Connect. Please contact your Account Manager for details.

Encompass Flood Service

Starting with this release, data from borrower address fields (field IDs FR0104, FR0106, FR0107, FR0108) are being included in the loan file submission to CoreLogic Flood Service.

Encompass 4506-T Service

Starting with this release, authorized Encompass 4506-T Service (powered by DataVerify) users can attach two PDF files to their 4506-T Report Order.

To support this update, the Hard Drive option on the Attach window has been replaced by the following two new options:

  • Browse for wet signed form from your computer
  • Browse for eSigned from your computer

Selecting Browse for eSigned from your computer displays the Attach eSigned Files window, from where you can add two PDFs to your 4506-T order.

  1. Open a loan file, and from the Tools tab, click TQL Services.
  2. From the 4506-T Service Orders plinth, click the Order button.

  1. In the Request for Transcript of Tax panel, click the New icon.

  1. In the Request Details panel, select a value from the Tax Form is for drop-down field, and then click the Copy from Borrower Summary button.

  1. Click the Order 4506-T button.

  1. In the Order 4506-T Report window, go to the Product Type field, and select DataVerify 4506T from the drop-down list.

  1. Type your DataVerify 4506-T Service login credentials, and then click the paper clip icon next to the Attached Signed 4506-T field.

  1. In the Attach window, select Browse for eSigned from your computer and click Continue.

  1. Use the options in the Attach eSigned Files window to upload two PDFs to your 4506-T order.

Encompass Fraud Service

Lock Plan Code (field ID 1130) is now included in the request file and mapped to a DataVerify custom defined field.

The following mapping updates for First American FraudGuard are included in this release:

  • Refinance Loans: For refinance loans, mapping has been updated so that Existing Lien Amount is mapped to Unpaid Principal Balance. If a value exists in the For Refinance: Balance of Mortgage loans to be paid off field (field ID 26), it is now included in the export file.
  • Condo Project Name: Condo Develop Name (field ID 1298) is now included in the export file.
  • Loan Status: Loan Status (field ID 1393) is now included in the export file.
  • Custom Category #1-4: Company Names and Individual Names for Custom Category #1-4 are now included in the export file, to help enable FraudGuard run analytics on the names.
    • Custom Category #1-4 are configured in the Loan Actors panel in Encompass Fraud Service Settings.

    • When custom categories are selected in Encompass Fraud Service Settings and the Company Name and/or Individual Names have values in File Contacts, they will be mapped to the Loan Actors tab in the Fraud Service Order window, and included in the loan file submission to First American.
