CenterWise is a web and document solution that is integrated with Encompass and combines Encompass WebCenter and Electronic Document Management (EDM). CenterWise enables borrowers to submit a loan application online that a loan officer can then import directly to their Pipeline. As the loan is processed, the loan officer can send requests for documents to borrowers via email. The borrower can retrieve and return the documents electronically or via fax. Borrowers can also visit your WebCenter site to view status updates to their loan.

The Encompass WebCenter and EDM are only available with a CenterWise subscription. Contact your Ellie Mae sales representative to learn more about, and subscribe to, CenterWise.

WebCenter

The Encompass WebCenter is a website that connects directly to Encompass. Leads and loan applications that borrowers submit from this website flow directly to Encompass. Document requests and loan status updates can be sent to your borrowers via the website as well. You can also use your WebCenter site to market your company to borrowers and realtors. When you sign up for CenterWise, you gain access to three types of WebCenter sites to best meet your company's needs: Corporate, Branch (for each branch in your company), and Loan Officer (for each loan officer in your company).

Once you sign up for CenterWise, your WebCenter site can be activated in minutes using a simple set up wizard. For more information on signing up for CenterWise, contact your Ellie Mae sales representative.

Note: The latest version and the preceding version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer web browsers are supported for use with WebCenter site pages. (For example, when the latest version of Internet Explorer is version 9, the preceding version is version 8.) Feedback regarding a functional issue or an issue related to the user interface when using a supported version of one of these browsers is welcome. Contact our Client Care team regarding issues when using a supported version of one of these browsers.

Electronic Document Management (EDM)

The EDM tool provides a centralized interface to request, manage, submit, and store electronic documents. With EDM, loan officers and processors can both access and work on the latest documents right within Encompass and send and receive critical loan documents faster.

EDM is only available with a CenterWise subscription. All of your users can use the eFolder to view, browse, attach, scan, and edit the documents associated with a loan, however, only authorized users can access EDM. Contact your Ellie Mae sales representative to learn more about EDM.

Once your CenterWise subscription is activated, use the E-Document Management license tool to select the users who will be using EDM.

Note: Applications, disclosures, and other documents submitted through your WebCenter site are stored by Ellie Mae for a period of time. The retention periods are as follows: Documents signed electronically (eSigned) – 7 years; Other documents - 120 days; Online application data - 90 days.
