Encompass®
For Encompass, the specified bandwidth requirements apply to both ingress and egress data.
This setup helps ensure that Encompass operates effectively with both incoming and outgoing data flows.
Ingress is a term that describes incoming data or traffic entering a network or system from an external source.
Egress is a term that refers to outgoing data or traffic exiting a network or system to an external destination.
Velocify® and Velocify® Pulse
The following connectivity, bandwidth, and hardware requirements are recommended to help optimize performance and functionality when using LeadManager, LoanEngage, Velocify Pulse, and Dial-IQ features. Adhering to these recommendations can mitigate performance issues and promote a seamless user experience.
LeadManager
-
A minimum of 100 kbps per user (upload and download) is recommended.
LeadManager with Dial-IQ enabled
-
A minimum of 200 kbps per user (upload and download) is recommended when using a softphone or Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) desk phone.
This recommendation does not apply when using a traditional landline or cell phone.
For Velocify and Velocify Pulse, it is required that the Softphone modal be displayed on a second monitor, separate from the monitor displaying Velocify Pulse.
Dial-IQ with traditional landline
-
One available inbound line per active user is required.
Dial-IQ places one inbound call per agent to initiate an outbound call.
-
Standard USB headsets are recommended for use with the Dial-IQ softphone, and echo-suppression-enabled headsets are preferred for optimal performance.
-
LeadManager and LoanEngage are supported in only one browser tab at a time.
Clearing browser cache and cookies regularly is highly recommended to avoid potential feature issues when using multiple browser tabs.
-
Velocify Pulse supports a maximum of five open Salesforce browser tabs to ensure optimal performance of Dial-IQ.
Clearing browser cache and cookies is also recommended when switching between Sandbox organizations and Production.
A softphone, short for "software telephone," is a software application that enables users to make telephone calls over the internet using a computer or mobile device.
-
Softphones are commonly used in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems, which transmit voice data over the internet rather than traditional telephone lines.
Dial-IQ is a software solution designed to enhance communication and workflow for users in the mortgage and finance industries. It typically integrates with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, allowing users to make and receive calls directly from the application. The Dial-IQ softphone facilitates voice communication through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), enabling users to connect with clients more efficiently.
Key features often include:
- Integrated Dialing: Users can initiate calls directly from their CRM or other applications without needing a traditional phone.
- Call Tracking: It may offer functionalities for tracking call history and recording conversations for compliance and training purposes.
- Support for Headsets: The software usually supports USB headsets to improve call clarity and user comfort.
- Enhanced Productivity: By streamlining communication processes, it aims to boost productivity for sales and support teams.
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that allows voice communication and multimedia content to be transmitted over the Internet.
Key Features:
- Digital Conversion: Converts audio signals into digital data packets for transmission.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Potentially reduces costs compared to traditional telephone services.
- Communication Formats: Supports voice calls, video calls, and messaging.
- Integration: Can integrate with other communication tools and services to enhance functionality.
Internet Speed
Unless otherwise noted, the specified minimum internet speed denotes the required threshold for the product.
- For each concurrent user, a broadband internet connection is necessary to ensure sufficient bandwidth for basic functionality.
- This setup supports general use, with additional bandwidth improving performance during high-traffic periods, such as month-end closings.
Minimum internet connection requirements are based on average bandwidth usage, which can vary depending on the number of users and other applications or features being accessed concurrently.
While the minimum requirement supports basic functionality, higher bandwidth may enhance overall performance.
We recommend using an internet speed testing tool, such as Speedtest by Ookla, to assess your computer's bandwidth. Please note that this is an external site and not part of ICE Mortgage Technology services. There are also other similar tools available.
Internet Speed refers to the rate at which data is transferred between a user's device and the internet. It is measured in megabits per second (Mbps) and affects how quickly users can upload, download, and interact with online content. Internet speed typically includes:
- Download Speed: The rate at which data is received from the internet.
- Upload Speed: The rate at which data is sent to the internet.
Higher internet speeds are intended to support quicker load times, smoother streaming, and more efficient online interactions.
Bandwidth refers to the maximum rate at which data can be transferred over a network or internet connection within a given timeframe, typically measured in bits per second (bps). It indicates the capacity of the connection and influences the speed and performance of data transmission, affecting activities such as streaming, downloading, and online gaming. Higher bandwidth allows for more data to be transmitted simultaneously, resulting in faster and smoother online experiences.

Memory (RAM)
Requirements for Optimal Encompass Performance on Windows Operating Systems
For the required and recommended matrix to function and perform effectively, it is recommended that machine resources are dedicated to the products listed in the matrix and not shared with external applications. Sharing resources with other applications may compromise performance.
- Windows for 32-bit systems is not formally tested or supported.
- You may continue to install and use Encompass in these 32-bit systems, but ICE Mortgage Technology will not provide support to address issues that may occur.
- Windows running on 64-bit operating systems can process more RAM compared to 32-bit operating systems (which are limited to 4 GB of addressable memory).
- We strongly recommend a 64-bit system (with larger memory as mentioned in this table) over a 32-bit system.
- System degradation has been observed for users on 32-bit operating systems when using Document Conversion or multiple applications in addition to Encompass.
- The minimum 8 GB memory recommendation assumes the customer's computer memory utilization is below 85%.
- If your computer is utilizing 85% or more memory, Encompass performance and features may be negatively impacted.
- Consider closing other applications or upgrading your computer's memory capacity if utilizing more than 85% with Encompass open.
Random Access Memory (RAM) is a type of volatile memory that allows for fast read and write access to data. It temporarily holds data for the operating system, applications, and active processes, improving overall system performance. Unlike permanent storage, RAM loses its contents when the power is turned off, making it essential for the efficient operation of computing devices.

- To access detailed information about client-facing domains, you have two options:
- Select View Allow List under the Resources heading on the left side of the page. This button opens a window with additional details.
- Alternatively, you can securely access the ICE Mortgage Technology Client Facing Domains document.
Write Access Permissions
It is recommended that users have write access to the local machine, local public folder, and the Windows Program Data directory to ensure optimal functionality. Additionally, access to a local printer is recommended for certain features.
Write Access Permissions may be restricted based on your organization's network security policies and user roles to protect sensitive data. These permissions are designed to ensure that only authorized users can modify, delete, or create content, which helps maintain data integrity and security. Effective management of write access permissions is crucial for preventing unauthorized alterations and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, as these permissions can vary based on system configuration and security protocols.
Write Access Permissions refer to the specific rights granted to a user or system that allow them to modify, delete, or create content within a particular file, directory, or database.
