eRecording Submitter

New Features Summary

Who is affected? What is it? Why did it happen?

API 2 submitters

We added an optional state abbreviation parameter to List Recipients endpoint

to remove unnecessary data from response to reduce size and speed.

We added an optional state abbreviation parameter to List Recipients endpoint

The List Recipients endpoint returns a list of all recipients and a number of associated properties based on a number of filter criteria. We added a new filter that allows the user to indicate a U.S. state to limit results to recipients located in the desired state.

Interested organizations should review the API Documentation found in Simplifile. Not all submitters have access to the List Recipients endpoint, and this change will not affect those permissions.

We updated the logic for the status growl after registering counties

To improve user experience, we updated the logic for the status growl after registering counties. There are a few different status scenarios. They include:

  • County approved MOU‑if a submitter fills out the MOU and it is not an auto enabled county, the growl states Pending county approval

  • County/Simplifile approved MOU‑if a submitter fills out the MOU and it is not an auto enabled county, the growl states Pending county approval, Pending Simplifile approval

  • Simplifile approved MOU‑if a submitter fills out the MOU and it is not an auto enabled county, the growl states Pending Simplifile approval

  • Auto enabled counties‑if a submitter fills out the MOU and it is an auto enabled county, the growl states County enabled

We disabled the MOU Start registration process for CeRTNA and Secure if they are pending approval

To eliminate duplicate tickets and emails, we disabled the MOU Start registrationprocess for CeRTNA and Secure if they are pending approval. Submitter users will find the disabled link by going to Actions > Register more recipients > Start registration process. The link will only be disabled if they are in a pending approval status. If the user hovers over the link, they will see a tool tip that states Pending Approval.

We created a configuration that sets submitters with Secure corrections feature

To custom select specific submitters for the Secure corrections feature, we created a configuration that enables specified submitter orgs with the feature. This configuration is on the back end for now. It is also just enabled for San Bernardino, CA as we are still testing how it works. We will eventually turn it on for more Secure customers as it stabilizes. The feature allows these specified submitters to make corrections to a package and re‑submit within a 30 minute window for same day recording. The submitters know if a package is eligible for corrections if the county uses the corrections rejection reason. The submitter views the details of the rejection that indicates in the reason Package has been returned for Correction. Please make the specified Correction changes and resubmit within 30 minutes. The customers that will be initially set up with it include:

  • CAT4KX ‑ Fidelity Title San Bernardino
  • CATNLF ‑ Lawyers Title Riverside
  • CATKBK ‑ Ticor Title Riverside
