Report formats

Simplifile reports are available in the following formats.

Format Description
CSV

A CSV file uses commas or other values to separate pieces of information in rows, as shown below.

This type of file works well when you want to import information into a table or spreadsheet: Each row becomes a table row, and each column set becomes a table column. This format does not retain any formatting.

Excel This format opens directly into Microsoft Excel. It maintains formatting, such as text size and bold.
HTML This format displays in a browser window. In many cases, you can select links in HTML reports to view additional information such as the details of a transaction or a recorded document. You can use your browser options to save or print this report.
PDF This format generates a PDF that displays in a browser window. This format works best if you need to send a report as an email attachment or print the report. You can use your PDF viewer’s options to save or print the file.
