Fixed Issues for Version 20.1.0.5 Server Patch 4
This Encompass 20.1 Critical Patch 5 includes updates to users' Encompass client machines (20.1.0.5) and a Server Patch (server patch 4) that is applied to the Encompass Server.
Why we fixed this issue: This issue was fixed to improve usability and to help ensure Encompass is operating as expected. The issue was chosen to be fixed based on the severity of its impact to clients and client feedback.
Updates to the Encompass Server (i.e., Server Patch 4)
Below are the updates in the Server Patch that are applied to the Encompass Server. The Server Patch contains the relevant Encompass code that applies to the following fixed issue. The Server Patch included with this release will be applied to the Encompass Server automatically and cannot be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool.
Fixed Issues
An issue occurred for certain loans in Encompass 20.1 where the loans could not be opened again after they had been edited and closed. After further investigation, it was determined that this issue occurred only for loans where a Field Triggers business rule was set up to send an email message to one or more Encompass users. When changes to a loan resulted in one of these emails being sent via the business rule, the loan could then not be opened again once it was closed. Users attempting to open the loan would receive an Error deserializing loan data pop-up error message. The cause of this issue was identified and addressed. Loans in this scenario can once again be opened successfully after they have been edited and closed.

Some customers reported that they were unable to save loan files that they had exported previously, and then imported back into their Encompass system. They would receive a primary key violation error when they attempted to save any changes to the imported loan. In another scenario, if a user had a loan in their Pipeline, transferred the loan to a different Encompass system or loan folder, and then imported the transferred loan from the Loan Mailbox as a new loan, a Reporting Database-related error was triggered the first time a loan team member attempted to save changes to the imported loan. Any subsequent attempts to save changes to the loan would then trigger the following error message:
These issues have been addressed and resolved. Users can now successfully save changes to imported loans.

An issue occurred with the Enforce Only When No Current Lock Exists setting on the Product and Pricing setting screen. If the Request Lock (link to the selected provider to create a lock request; generate a matching request in Encompass) and Enforce only when no current lock exists checkboxes were selected, the changes saved, the user navigated to another screen, and then returned to the Product and Pricing setting screen, the Enforce only when no current lock exists checkbox was cleared.
The two checkboxes are only enabled when the selected Product and Pricing provider is set to “Optimal Blue – Enhanced”, "Lender Price", "Loan Sifter - Enhanced", and "LoanDecisions PPE".
This issue has been resolved and the Enforce only when no current lock exists checkbox now remains selected once the selection is saved.
Updates to the Encompass Client Machines
The Encompass 20.1 Critical Patch 5 includes the following items, which are client-side updates that are applied to users' Encompass client machines. This client update can be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool. If the tool has been configured to always apply new releases to users’ computers automatically, users will receive this update upon their initial log in of Encompass following the release.
Fixed Issues
(Updated on 5/8/2020)
An issue was resolved that caused the Borrower's and Co-Borrower's Income (field IDs 101 and 110) on forms such as the Borrower Origination – Summary and 1003 Page 2 to not retain values when a loan file was saved if income was previously entered for the borrower and co-borrower, and the co-borrower was then deleted using the Co-Mortgagors tool. This issue has been resolved and the income values are now being retained as expected for new loans originated in Encompass 20.1.0.5 Server Patch 4.
To fix this issue in existing loans originated in earlier versions of Encompass, you must delete the co-borrower from the borrower pair, and then add the co-borrower back to the borrower pair. To do this, open the loan in Encompass 20.1.0.5 Server Patch 4, and then go toTools> Co-Mortgagors. In the Manage Borrowers window, select the borrower pair in the list, clickDelete Co-Borrowerand then clickYesin response to the confirmation message. To add the co-borrower back, select the borrower pair in the list, and then enter the co-borrower's information in the Co-Borrower section. ClickCloseto close the Manage Borrowers window.

An issue was resolved that caused the selection for Service Type (field ID SP0101) to clear on the input form when an entry was created in the Title Insurance category on the Settlement Service Provider List. The selection was being retained by Encompass, but was not displaying on the input form. This issue has been resolved and the Service Type selection now displays as expected.

Using the Encompass Settings > Contact Setup > Borrower Custom Fields setting or Business Custom Fields setting, administrators can create custom fields to display on the Borrower Contacts and Business Contacts tabs on the Contacts screen. When users hover their mouse pointer over one of these custom fields on the Contacts screen, hover text is automatically displayed to provide additional information about the field. An issue occurred with custom dropdown fields where the hover text would display as expected, but it would continue to display on the screen after the mouse pointer was moved away from the field and the user navigated to a different screen. Closing Encompass was the only action that stopped the hover text from displaying. This issue has been resolved and hover text for custom dropdown fields now displays and stops displaying as expected.
