Fixed Issues for Version 20.1.0.4 Server Patch 3
This Encompass 20.1 Critical Patch 4 includes updates to users' Encompass client machines (20.1.0.4) and a Server Patch (server patch 3) that is applied to the Encompass Server.
Why we fixed this issue: This issue was fixed to improve usability and to help ensure Encompass is operating as expected. The issue was chosen to be fixed based on the severity of its impact to clients and client feedback.
Updates to the Encompass Server (i.e., Server Patch 3)
Below is the update in the Server Patch that is applied to the Encompass Server. The Server Patch contains the relevant Encompass code that applies to the following fixed issue. The Server Patch included with this release will be applied to the Encompass Server automatically and cannot be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool.
Updates to the Encompass Server were required to address issues introduced in Encompass 20.1 related to system performance enhancements.
Updates to the Encompass Client Machines
The Encompass 20.1 Critical Patch 4 includes the following items, which are client-side updates that are applied to users' Encompass client machines. This client update can be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool. If the tool has been configured to always apply new releases to users’ computers automatically, users will receive this update upon their initial log in of Encompass following the release.
Fixed Issues
An issue was resolved that caused Informational Documents sent to a borrower to not be saved to the eFolder even though the Save copy of Information Documents in eFolder option was selected in the Documents setting (Encompass > Settings > eFolder Setup > Documents). This issue was introduced with the initial release of Encompass 20.1. The issue has been resolved and document entries are now being created as expected in the eFolder when Informational Documents are sent to borrowers.

An issue was resolved that caused the value for the Loan File Sequence Number (field ID LOANFILESEQUENCENUMBER) to not adjust when a loan file was saved while the loan was still open. This occurred when the field was displayed on a custom input form. The value continued to adjust as expected when the field displayed on the Encompass Pipeline and when the field was being read in the Encompass SDK. The correct field value would also display on the custom input form after the loan file was closed and reopened. This issue, which was introduced with the initial release of Encompass 20.1, has been resolved and the value now adjusts as expected on custom forms.

Prior to the Encompass 20.1 release, the appSetting element was not required in the configuration file when creating Correspondent trades via the Encompass SDK. After clients upgraded to Encompass 20.1, the appSetting element was required in the configuration file when creating Correspondent trades via the SDK and an error was generated when the appSetting element was not in the configuration file. In this release, this issue has been addressed and there is no longer an error generated from the missing appSetting element in the configuration file when creating Correspondent trades via the SDK.
