Fixed Issues for Version 18.4.0.9
This Encompass 18.4 January Service Pack Critical Patch 3 includes updates to users' Encompass client machines.
Why we fixed these issues: This issue was fixed to improve usability and to help ensure Encompass is operating as expected. This issue was chosen to be fixed based on the severity of its impact to clients and client feedback.
Updates to the Encompass Client Machines
The Encompass 18.4 January Service Pack Critical Patch 3 includes the following item, which is a client-side update that is applied to users' Encompass client machines. This client update can be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool. If the tool has been configured to always apply new releases to users’ computers automatically, users will receive this update upon their initial log in of Encompass following the release.
Several clarifications to automated calculation rules and new fields with potential impact to client HMDA Loan Activity Reports (LAR) have been introduced over the past several Encompass releases. In order to ensure lender reporting is updated to the latest version of all mapping rules without requiring loans to be individually accessed, a HMDA Batch Update tool was added to the Encompass Admin Tools (with the Encompass 18.4 January Service Pack Critical Patch 2 release) that you can use to update impacted loans.
An issue with the tool was discovered where running the tool and applying a HMDA Profile that uses field 745 (Application Date) to determine the HMDA Application Date resulted in the HMDA Reporting Year (field ID HMDA.X27) being inadvertently updated to 2019 in applicable loans. This issue has been resolved and the new version of the HMDA Batch Update tool provided with this release does not update the HMDA Reporting Year.
