Feature Enhancements in Version 18.3.0.7 Server Patch 2
Update to the Encompass Server (i.e., Server Patch 2)
The Encompass 18.3 September Service Pack includes a Server Patch that is applied to the Encompass Server. This Server Patch will be applied to the Encompass Server automatically and cannot be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool.

New Refinance Type dropdown List Added for USDA Refinance Loans
A new Refinance Type dropdown list (field ID USDA.X218)) has been added to the Loan Information section on the Req for SFH Loan Guarantee/Resv. of Funds tab on the USDA Management input form in Encompass. The dropdown list enables users to select a value for a new option that is being added to the new version of the Request for Single Family Housing Loan Guarantee (Form RD 3555-21) printed output form effective October 1, 2018. The USDA intends to discontinue use of the older version of Form RD 3555-21 (revision date June 2016) on November 1, 2018, at which time all loan packages are required to include the new version of the form.

The dropdown list is enabled for selection when Cash-Out Refi or No Cash-Out Refi is selected for the Purpose of Loan (field ID 19). Selecting a non-refinance option for the Purpose of Loan will clear the Refinance Type selection.
Again, please note that starting on October 1, 2018 the new version of this printed output form, Request for Single Family Housing Loan Guarantee (Form RD 3555-21), will be used for USDA-RHS loans (field ID 1172) in Encompass. When a USDA loan's Doc Signing Date (field ID 1887), Closing Date (field ID 748) or Estimated Closing Date (field ID 763) is 10/1/18 or later, the new version of the output form (with a revision date of 10-18) will be generated in Encompass. For USDA loans where all of these dates occur prior to 10/1/18, the previous version of this printed output form (with a revision date of 06-15) will be used.

Updates to the Encompass Client Machines
The Encompass 18.3 September Service Pack includes the following enhancements, which are client-side updates that are applied to users' Encompass client machines. This client update can be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool. If the tool has been configured to always apply new releases to users’ computers automatically, users will receive this update upon their initial log in of Encompass following the release.

Lock Icon Removed From Loan Amount Field (Field 2)
A new Lock icon was added to the Loan Amount field (field 2) in the Encompass 18.3 August Service Pack (18.3.0.6) release. This Lock icon has now been removed. It was determined that providing a Lock icon for this field would result in the potential for future critical errors to be introduced into your Encompass system if, and when, the loan amount and total loan amount absent of financed closing costs or mortgage insurance were not in sync. Due to these concerns, the Ellie Mae Product team made the decision to remove the Lock icon from field 2.
