Feature Enhancements in Version 24.2 October Service Pack (Banker Edition)

Updates to the Encompass Client Machines

The Encompass 24.2 October Service Pack release includes the following updates, which will be applied to users' Encompass client machines (24.2.0.3). This client update can be controlled manually via the Encompass Version Manager tool. If the tool has been configured to always apply new releases to users’ computers automatically, users will receive this update upon their initial log in of Encompass following the release.

The FHA Management input form has been updated to support HUD’s latest updates for FHA 203(k) Rehab Mortgage Insurance Programs. The provisions outlined in Mortgagee Letter 2024-13 must be implemented for FHA case numbers assigned on or after November 4, 2024:

  • On the FHA Management form’ FHA203k tab, the 203(k) Consultant Fees (MAX23K.X20) field is now always activated/editable. Previously, this field would be deactivated/read-only if the 203(k) Limited Program checkbox (MAX23K.X117) at the top of the page was selected. Thus, the value in the 203(k) Consultant Fees field is always included in the Repair and Improvement Costs and Fees total (MAX23K.X70).

  • The value in the 203(k) Consultant Fees (MAX23K.X20) field is always retained regardless of if the 203(k) Limited Program checkbox (MAX23K.X117) is selected or not. Previously, the value was cleared when the checkbox was selected.
