View the "Contact Management" Quick Reference Guide

Contacts are classified as business contacts or borrower contacts. Business contacts include partners, vendors, and other service providers with whom you do business. Borrower contacts include customers and prospects.

Details Tab

First Name

The contact's first name.

Last Name

The contact's last name.

Salutation

The greeting or introductory phrase used at the beginning of contact mail and email merges. For example, Dear Ms. Wilson.

Home Phone

The contact's home phone number. Click the telephone icon to open the Notes tab.

Work Phone

The contact's work phone number. Click the telephone icon to open the Notes tab.

Cell Phone

The contact's cell phone number. Click the telephone icon to open the Notes tab.

Fax Number

The contact's Fax number. Click the telephone icon to open the Notes tab.

Home Email

The contact's personal email address. Click the envelope icon to open Microsoft Outlook and send an email to the contact.

Work Email

The contact's work email address. Click the envelope icon to open Microsoft Outlook and send an email to the contact.

Contact License # The identifier of the license or certificate issued to the business contact.

Lic. Issuing

Authority

Name of the issuing authority through which the business contact obtained the license.

Level of authority of the license issuer: Private, Public Federal, Public Local, or Public State

Lic. Authority

State Code

The two-character representation of the US state, US Territory, Canadian Province, Military APO FPO, or Territory in which the party is licensed or certified to operate.
Lic. Issue Date The date on which the license was issued.
Do Not Email Prevents email merge messages from being sent to this contact.

Public

Indicates that the contact is a public contact. Public contacts can be viewed and edited by users other than the contact owner (but not necessarily by all users in your organization).

Category The type of contact, typically a service provider. Your can also create custom categories using the Business Categories tool in the Company Settings. You can use the Organization category to create information for different versions of your company information. This  information can be accessed, and selected, from Page 3 of the 1003 application to override the default company information.
Company The contact's company name.
Address 1 Line 1 of the contact's business address.
Address 2 Line 2 of the contact's business address.
City The city in which the contact's business is located.
State The state in which the contact's business is located.
Zip The zip code in which the contact's business is located.
License # The contact's business license number.
Fees Any standard fees charged by the contact.
Web URL The URL of the contact's website.
Job Title The contact's job title.

Company
License #

The business license number for the contact's company.

Lic. Issuing Authority

Name of the issuing authority through which the company obtained the license.

Lic. Authority Type

Level of authority of the license issuer: Private, Public Federal, Public Local, or Public State

Lic. Authority State Code

The two-character representation of the US state, US Territory, Canadian Province, Military APO FPO, or Territory in which the company is licensed or certified to operate.
Lic. Issue Date The date on which the license for the contact's company was issued.
The following Investor Mortgagee Clause fields are visible only for Investor and Lender contacts. Use these fields to specify the Investor or Lender to associate with the Mortgagee Clause.
Mortgagee Clause The text of the mortgage clause. Be sure to specify that reimbursement for losses associated with a damage policy will be paid to the mortgagee.
Company Name The Investor or Lender's company name.
Contact Name The Investor or Lender's first and last name.
Address The Investor or Lender's business address.
City The city in which the Investor or Lender's business is located.
State The state in which the Investor or Lender's business is located.
Zip The zip code in which the Investor or Lender's business is located.
Contact Phone The Investor or Lender's primary phone number.
Contact Fax The Investor or Lender's fax number.
The following fields are visible only for Title Insurance contacts. Use these fields to specify the Investor or Lender to associate with the Mortgagee Clause.
Account Number The number of the bank account into which funds are wired.
ABA Number The ABA (routing) number for the account to which funds are wired.

Details Tab

First Name

The contact's first name.

Middle The contact's middle name.

Last Name

The contact's last name.

Suffix The borrower's suffix, for example: Jr, Sr, 3rd.

Salutation

SSN

The borrower contact's social security number.

Address 1 Line 1 of the contact's home address.
Address 2 Line 2 of the contact's home address.
City The state in which the contact's home is located.
State The state in which the contact's home is located.
Zip The zip code in which the contact's home is located.
Home Phone The contact's home phone number. Click the telephone icon to open the Notes tab.

Extra Tab

Contact Type

Select the type of borrower contact, Prospect, Client, or Lead. When you import a lead, the Contact Type is automatically set to Lead.

Status

Select the status of the borrower contact. The status list is created using the Borrower Contact Status tool.

Referral

The name of a person or company, if any, who referred the borrower to you.

Lead Trans #

The transaction number associated with the lead.

Primary Contact

Indicates the contact is the primary contact. This is typically selected when there are two related borrower contacts in your contacts database. When contacts are created as a result of an update from a loan file, the loan's primary borrower is designated as the primary contact. You can perform advanced contact searches using primary contact as a search criteria.

Contact Owner

 

The name of the user who created the borrower contact (or was assigned ownership of the contact). Only the owner can edit and reassign a borrower contact. If the contact is Public, users with access can view and edit the contact, but not reassign it.

Public

Sets the borrower contact as public. The contact is available for viewing by users above the contact owner in the organization hierarchy. If the checkbox is not selected, the contact is personal. Only the owner of the contact has access to it. If the User Group in which you are a member is defined to set the access of all borrower contacts to public, your contacts are always public and cannot be changed to personal.

Birthday The contact's birthday. Type values for the date, month, and year, separated by a / or -. For example: 8/24/61, 08/24/1961, and 8-24-61 are all acceptable.
Married Indicates the contact is married.
Spouse The name of the contact's spouse.
Anniversary The contact's anniversary. Type values for the date and month, separated by a / or -. For example: 8/24, 08/24, and 8-24 are all acceptable.
Do not call Indicates the borrower contact does not want to be called.
Do not Email Prevents email merge messages from being sent to this contact.
Do not Fax Select this checkbox to indicate that the borrower contact does not want to be sent faxes.

Opportunity Tab

Loan Amount 

The dollar amount of the loan.

Loan Purpose

Select a loan purpose from the list. If you select Other, type a description of the loan purpose in the other field.

Loan Term

The length of the loan in months.

Amortization

Select a loan amortization type from the list.

Down Payment

The expected down payment in dollars.

Cash Out

The amount of additional cash provided to the borrower by a cash-out refinance loan.

Credit Rating

The borrower contact's credit rating. The rating can be a numeric or text entry.

Bankruptcy

Indicates the borrower contact has declared bankruptcy.

Current Mortgage

Balance

The current mortgage rate of property owned by the borrower contact. This filed is typically used for refinance-type loans.

Current Mortgage Rate

The current mortgage rate of property owned by the borrower contact. This filed is typically used for refinance-type loans.

Monthly Payment

(housing)

The total monthly payment for housing. This can include costs such as rent, real estate taxes, and insurance.

Monthly Payment

(non-housing)

The total monthly payment not associated with housing. This can include payments such as credit cards, auto loans, and alimony.

Employment

The employment status of the borrower contact: Employed, Self-Employed, or Unemployed.

Annual Income

The borrower's gross annual base income.

Address

The street address of the subject property.

City

The city in which the subject property is located.

State

The state in which the subject property is located.

Zip

The zip code of the subject property.

Occupancy Type

The intended use of the property.

Property Type

The property type.

Property Value

The estimated value of the subject property.

Purchase Date

The date of purchase of the property related to the requested loan. This field is typically used for refinance-type loans.
