Prior to this release, Encompass users needed to manually log into the Veterans Affairs (VA) portal, outside of Encompass, to submit loan data to VA. The new VA Loan Review tool enables you to seamlessly and efficiently accomplish this from within Encompass.
Configuration in Desktop Version of Encompass
Encompass admins need to use the Services Password Management setting in Encompass Settings to configure VA Loan Review for their Encompass instance and select authorized users for the service.
But before you can provide the required account information, you must work with the VA to obtain a portal ID to enter in the Account Details window in Encompass. Follow these steps below:
-
As the Encompass administrator, submit a case through the LGY Help Center, selecting API Support as the Product and Request API Production Account as the Category.
-
In the description, identify the home office lender ID that needs a corresponding API account, along with an email address for the new API account.
-
Submit the case.
-
Once you receive you portal ID, proceed to Encompass Settings > Company/User Setup > Services Password Management.
-
Click the New icon to open a new Account Details window.
-
In the Account Details window, Portal ID field, enter the portal ID provided to you by VA.
-
In the NA field, the administrator can type any value into it. This NA value is not required to submit to VA, however it cannot be removed from the Account Details window at this time. This will be addressed in a future release. For this current 23.3 February Service Pack release, simply type any value in this field in order to proceed with saving the Account Details information.
For detailed information on using the Services Password Management, see the online help topic.
