Feature Enhancements in Version 17.2
Rule Manager

Currently, on the Rule Definition page, when quotation marks are used in the Program Notes section, the Client Admin is not informed that quotation marks are not a valid character nor are they aware that their changes have not been saved. To provide clarity to Client Admins, the following error message has been added:
“The Quote Character (“) cannot be used in Program Notes.”

Currently, the formatting of the drop down fields on the Rule Definition page is not consistent. The “look and feel” of the single select drop down fields is different from the multi-select drop down fields. To provide consistency within the Encompass Product and Pricing Service (EPPS), the formatting of the multi-select drop down fields have been updated to match the formatting of the single select drop down fields.
Multi-select drop down fields on the Rule Definition page include: Special Product, Office Category, Investor, Loan Term, Product Type, Office, Property Type, Loan Purpose, Occupancy Type, and State.
Geocoding Data
These enhancements are in preparation for future upcoming releases.

To enable users to access geocoding data in EPPS to condition price adjustments and qualification rules, the following Encompass fields, located on the HMDA Information form, have been added to the Ellie Mae Network and Loan Table.
This change only affects transactions from Encompass to EPPS.
-
MSA (field ID 699)
-
Census Tract (field ID 700)
-
County Code (field ID 1396)
-
State Code (field ID 1395)

To enable users to access geocoding data in EPPS to condition price adjustments and qualification rules, the following fields have been added to the Property tab.
-
MSA
-
Census Tract
-
County Code
-
State Code
User Interface

To enable users to select or deselect all programs at once, the Enabled column has been moved to the far left of the grid and a check box has been added to the column on the Programs tab.
-
When the check box is selected, all the programs on the grid are selected and are enabled.
-
When the check box is cleared, all the programs on the grid are no longer selected and are disabled.
In addition, a Save button has been added to the top of the grid.

To provide users with a more efficient user interface, the following changes have been made to access the My Profile page:
-
To open the My Profile page, select the user name link at the top of the page.
-
The My Profile link on the right side header menu has been removed.

To enable users to price and query eligibility for condotels and non-warrantable condos, a Condotel and a Non-warrantable condo property designation have been added to the Property tab.
To display the Condotel and Non-warrantable Condo property designations, one of the Condo options under Property Type must be selected.
In addition, two conditions, Condo is Non-warrantable and Condo is a Condotel, are available in the Select Rule Condition dropdown list on the Rule Manager to match the new Condotel and Non-warrantable Condo property designations.

To enable users to price and query eligibility for Planned Urban Developments (PUDs), a PUD option has been added to the Property Type dropdown list on the Property tab.
The PUD property type on the Encompass Lock Request Form will now be mapped to this new PUD option (formerly mapped to 1-Family option).
Other Enhancements

Currently, when no county is provided in the loan, the general loan limit is used for the state specified. In Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, and the Virgin Islands, this is misleading because the published loans limits in those 4 states/territories are not available in all of the counties. For VA loans, when a county is not provided in the loan, the non-state specific 1-unit maximum ($424,100) will now be used, regardless of the state the property is located in.
For more accurate limits, a county will need to be provided.
