Matrices
Use Matrices to enable users to replace individual rules with matrices, which reduces the amount of individual rules needed. Matrices house pricing actions to be taken on loans falling within certain parameters.
To Create a Matrix Definition

Select the Matrices link.

Select the Enter a new Matrix Definition link.

The Select Matrix Definition Type popup window is displayed.

Select a Matrix Definition type.

Complete the Matrix/Rate Matrix definition.
For detailed information on matrices, refer to the Using Custom Program Management guide.

When done, select Save.
To Promote a Matrix/Rate Matrix Definition
Once you have created a matrix/rate matrix definition and successfully tested it, you can use it by promoting it to a Production version.

Select the Matrices link.

Select the versions link next to the matrix/rate matrix definition you want to promote.

If there are multiple versions, select the one you want to promote, and then select the promote link.

When prompted, select OK to confirm the action.

The matrix/rate matrix definition is promoted to Production based on the definition’s effective date.
To View the Current Production Version of a Matrix/Rate Matrix Definition

Select the Matrices link.

Select the view link next to the matrix/rate matrix definition you want to view.
To View Versions of a Matrix/Rate Matrix Definition

Select the Matrices link.

Select the versions link next to the matrix/rate matrix definition you want to view.

From the Matrix Versions page, you can edit, copy, clone, or delete versions of the matrix/rate matrix definition.
For detailed information on matrices, refer to the Using Custom Program Management guide.
We recommend you utilize the copy or clone actions to create a new version if revisions are necessary to a matrix/rate matrix definition.
This option is useful when you have simple changes to a matrix/rate matrix definition. Copy a version, edit the copied version to reflect the updated definition, and then select an effective date to test and promote.

clone - Enables you to create an entirely new matrix/rate matrix definition based on the selected version and definition. All parameters of the original definition, including the version, are cloned except for the effective date and any notes.
This option is useful to reduce the data entry required when you want to create a new matrix/rate matrix definition that contains components of an existing definition.

delete - Enables you to delete a matrix/rate matrix/rate matrix definition. This option is only available for Test definitions. Production definitions cannot be deleted for historical purposes.

The Deleted checkbox will display all deleted matrix versions stored for historical purposes.
To Hide a Matrix/Rate Matrix Definition

Select the Matrices link.

Select the hide link next to the matrix/rate matrix definition you want to hide.

When prompted, select OK to confirm the action.
To Unhide a Matrix/Rate Matrix Definition

Select the Matrices link.

Select the Hidden checkbox at the top of the grid to display all hidden matrix/rate matrix definitions.

Select the hide link next to the definition you want to unhide.

When prompted, select OK to confirm the action.
