Prior to this release, all new email marketing content added by Ellie Mae was available to all Encompass CRM instances, immediately for all users. Starting with this release, you can choose whether new email templates are added to your account in the “active” or “inactive” status. By adding emails in the inactive status, your Encompass CRM administrator has the opportunity to review and approve email content before making it active for users. All emails will continue to be added to the HTML Editor as they were prior to this release; you now have the option to add them to your account as “inactive."
By default, you will receive all new content in the active status. Submit a request on the Resource Center if you wish to have content added as inactive.
Update Contacts
Encompass CRM administrators now have the ability to update Contacts using the new Update Contacts setting. Similar to the Import Contacts feature, admins can now download a template provided in the Update Contacts page, update the template, and upload it back to Encompass CRM.
This feature is not enabled by default. To enable it for your Encompass CRM instance, submit a ticket on the Encompass CRM Resource Center.
- Log into Encompass CRM as an administrator and click the SITE ADMIN icon.
- On the Site Admin page, click the Update Contacts link.
- Click the Download Template button.
- Confirm that the template has downloaded in the bottom status bar of your browser window.
- On your computer, go to your Downloads folder, copy the DataSupportTemplateURLA.xlsx file, and paste it in your desired location.
- Open the file and update the Database tab with your contact information.
- Refer to the Translation Guide and Notes tabs (in the spreadsheet) for additional information, tips, and workarounds.
