Encompass (Web Version) Updates and Enhancements to Features - 22.1 Service Pack 1
This section discusses the updates and enhancements to existing forms, features, services, or settings that are provided in this release.
Feature Enhancements
The Encompass Consumer Connect 22.1 April Service Pack is introducing the new Homeowners Insurance Service that makes the sometimes challenging task of borrowers providing proof of homeowners insurance (HOI) a more automated and efficient process. Rather than borrowers having to work through multiple systems and vendors to purchase an HOI policy and then manually upload the required documentation, they can use the Homeowners Insurance Service to request quotes and purchase HOI from within the loan. Lenders then save time and ensure loan quality by receiving the borrower proof of HOI directly in the loan file in Encompass in a closing-ready format.
Starting with the Encompass Consumer Connect 22.1 April Service Pack, the Homeowners Insurance Service with GEICO® is enabled on Encompass Consumer Connect sites and borrower portal widgets by default. This means that borrowers are automatically presented with a GEICO Homeowners Insurance task card in the borrower portal unless a lender administrator disables the service or configures another provider.
In this Encompass 22.1 Service Pack 1 release, a new Request for Evidence of Homeowners Insurance rule is automatically enabled to ensure that an email requesting proof of Homeowners Insurance (HOI) is sent to the borrower, and a borrower-assigned task is created on the loan file. As with any workflow rule in the web version of Encompass, administrators are able to place additional conditions on this rule to customize the rule to their workflow.
Please refer to the Homeowners Insurance Service setup and user guide for detailed information about setting up and using this new service, along with borrower workflows that walk you through the homeowners insurance shopping experience in Encompass Consumer Connect.
The Request for Evidence of Homeowners Insurance workflow rule introduces a new triggering event and resulting action:
-
Ready for Homeowners Insurance Request Triggering Event- This event triggers when the Intent to Proceed field (Encompass field 3164), Subject Property Address (Encompass field 11), and key borrower fields are populated. This rule does not trigger if the Subject Property field is set to TBD or if you do not use the Consumer Connect borrower portal. A rule based on this event only triggers once for a specific loan.
-
Request for Evidence of Homeowners Insurance Resulting Action- Requests evidence for homeowners insurance from the primary borrower. The primary borrower receives an email and a task is created for the borrower in the Consumer Connect borrower portal and is viewable on the loan in Encompass. The automation does not occur if the option is turned off in Consumer Connect admin portal.
As with all workflow rules in the web version of Encompass, administrators can customize the Request for Evidence of Homeowners Insurance rule to define the triggering event, customize additional conditions required before the event is triggered, and define the actions that are executed once the rule is triggered. (These customization options are not accessible to Encompass Broker Edition users.)
